As we celebrated the 108th Anniversary of the founding of the Joseph Habersham Chapter, I was struck with how much the history of our chapter mirrors the growth and history of Atlanta. From our founding in 1900 with 30 members, our Chapter has worked to achieve the goals of the National Society within the framework of a vibrant and exciting city. Our early goals reflected a society struggling with the changes a growing city and country were undergoing. Today, we reflect a city and country looking back at its heritage and embracing it. Joseph Habersham Chapter welcomes visitors who are learning what part their ancestors played in the growth of this country. I invite you to contact us for more information about Society membership.
