As a dedicated DAR member, Mrs. Leitch touched the lives of many around her. She has inspired hundreds of other Georgia Daughters through her tireless work with DAR. Her dedication to education is also well known among her DAR friends.  That such an honor could be bestowed as an unexpected surprise during her lifetime is, indeed, a privilege. 

The Joseph Habersham Chapter is contributing $1,000 per year for five years for the winner to use immediately on books, fees, or other school-related expenses.
